The
SJC staff has been working hard to create an easy access reference
system to the various "isms" of oppression
as well as leadership and social change infromation. We encourage
community members to come in and peruse our binders. Photocopies
can be made by request. The binders are divided into these areas:
- Definitions and Overview
Includes Bulletin Display Boards which appeared on residential
floors to provide awareness of the subject
- Statistics
Includes empirical evidence of oppression.
- Articles
Includes real-life issues that apply to this subject.
- Passive Programs
Includes ideas for postings and reviews about their effectiveness.
- Active Programs
Includes ideas for programs, accompanied by reviews that reveal
how effective each one might be.
- Bad Programs
These programs have flaws that well-intentioned individuals
might make, but may exclude people instead. Learn from mistakes!
