Get Involved
Today: Change Begins With You
At Washington
University's Social Justice Center, we seek to combat oppression
on our campus and in the communities of St. Louis. It is our goal
to inspire individuals to apply what they learn here and take
a stand against social injustices within their circle of influence.
Based on the past and present social injustices in our society,
we focus our efforts on ableism, ageism, classism, ethnocentrism,
genderism, heterosexism, sexism, racism and religious oppression.
In order to accomplish our goals, the SJC provides a monthly "Ism"
program series (active and passive), a meeting place for student
groups, as well as books, magazines, and videos for students,
faculty, administrators and the greater St. Louis community.
